About

Brad Slater is an emergency management practitioner with over 30 years of experience across government (local, state, and national) as well as industry-based emergency management roles. As a part time PhD student at the Edith Cowan University in Perth, WA, Brad's research focus will be to review existing policy to determine the potential for harmonisation of the Australian Emergency Management Arrangements. This policy research has a contemporary, relevant and real-world focus in considering the increasing natural hazard impacts of climate change across Australian society and the way in which future reflexive integration of interjurisdictional personnel and resources managed from a national approach may be established.
