Expressions of Interest (EOI) are now open for a new project that will assess the innovation and research utilisation capability maturity of Natural Hazards Research Australia’s (the Centre) Participant organisations.
With partnerships spanning 32 organisations, the Centre plays a vital role in supporting disaster risk reduction through applied research and innovation. Enhancing innovation and research utilisation in the disaster risk reduction sector will evaluate how effectively these organisations integrate research into practice and identify opportunities to enhance innovation and research use in support of the Centre’s long-term vision and mission.
The project will examine strategic alignment between research and end-user priorities, existing research use, awareness of research developments and the effectiveness of the Centre’s research translation tools. It will also explore barriers and enablers to innovation and research adoption.
Findings will inform a strategic roadmap, providing recommendations to strengthen collaboration and capability across the Centre’s network. These insights will also help shape the Centre’s 10-year research strategy and guide future investment decisions.
EOI proposals are due by 5:00pm AEST, 23 July 2025 to research@naturalhazards.com.au.
