About

Philip Sen is one of Natural Hazards Research Australia’s Node Research Managers, based in New South Wales.

Philip brings experience across disaster resilience, climate adaptation and cross-sector partnerships. He previously managed the NSW Bushfire and Natural Hazards Research Centre, a multi-agency program connecting six universities and Indigenous partners with multiple government end-users.

He has worked across the academic and not-for-profit sectors, with previous roles with the United Nations and international NGOs supporting disaster risk reduction, community resilience and policy engagement in Australia and overseas. Philip is committed to helping researchers, practitioners and decision-makers work together to ensure emerging knowledge is useful, usable and used across the natural hazard spectrum.
