About

Vana is a Senior Research Services Project Officer, based in our Melbourne Node.

Before joining the Centre, Vana worked as a research assistant in bushfire behaviour and management and as a Research and Development Coordinator in the construction industry. Vana holds a Bachelor of Environments, majoring in Geographies, Politics and Cultures and a Masters in Forest Ecosystem Science, both from the University of Melbourne. Vana is passionate about community-led capacity building, strength-based approaches to disaster risk reduction and child-centred disaster risk reduction.
