Professor Dale Nimmo is an ecologist at Charles Sturt University’s Gulbali Institute, specialising in the effects of fire and land management on biodiversity. His research focuses on how animals and ecosystems respond to disturbance. He leads large collaborations, including projects government agencies, and supervises a diverse cohort of postgraduate students. A passionate educator, he combines field ecology with modelling to build tools that improve conservation outcomes across Australia’s fire-prone landscapes.
