Dr Pullabhotla is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at Deakin University. His work focuses on the intersection of agriculture, development, and environmental economics, and examines the socio-economic impacts of disasters both in Australia and internationally.
Dr Pullabhotla is a recipient of the Australian Research Council's Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (ARC DECRA) for the period 2025-2028. He also co-directs the Centre for Disaster Resilience and Recovery (CDRR) in the Deakin Business School.
