The Node Research Manager roles at Natural Hazards Research Australia have now been expanded to include all the states and territories.
The first research nodes were formed in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, with a Node Research Manager based in each state.
The roles were created as a main point of contact to the Centre for end-users, researchers and other sector partners in each respective node. Responsibilities include stakeholder engagement, partnership development, project management, education and training, and support for the utilisation of research outcomes.
With the ongoing development of the Centre, and the return of Loriana Bethune from maternity leave, the role of the Node Research Managers now extends to all states and territories. The four Node Research Managers are working together to ensure that the same opportunities to connect with the Centre are available across all our networks.
The areas covered by the Node Research Managers are:
- Nicola Moore, Node Research Manager – Queensland and Northern Territory
- Dr Blythe McLennan, Node Research Manager – Victoria, Tasmania and Western Australia
- Dr Kat Haynes, Node Research Manager – New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory and South Australia
- Loriana Bethune, DELWP Program and Node Research Manager
This development will allow the Node Research Managers to continue to establish ways of working, collaborating and communicating with networks across Australia. Read more about what they do and how to contact them here.
