Sandra Lunardi is the Director, Industry Workforce Development with the Australasian Fire and Emergency Service Authorities Council. She has several degrees and post-graduate qualifications in education and management. Sandra’s area of responsibility within AFAC is broad and encompasses human resources management, employee relations, learning and development, work health and safety, volunteer management and digital immersive learning. In her role, Sandra has represented AFAC on many national Boards and Committees, including the AIPM Executive Leadership Capability Advisory Committee (ELCAC) and seven years as a Director on the Board of Government Skills Australia.
Sandra has over 10 years of experience in the education sector, 22 years of experience in working in the fire and emergency services, and over 20 years of intensive engagement in working with public safety organisations to develop common standards in prevention, preparedness, response and recovery. Sandra has worked extensively with police jurisdictions, SES, defence, corrections, local government, public sector, and many other stakeholders with an interest in public safety and emergency management
Sandra is committed to research utilisation and ensuring all doctrine and products produced are evidence based and draw upon leading research in the respective fields.
