In 2009, Dr Danielle Wright completed her PhD, funded by the Bushfire CRC, on the assessment of grassland curing (senescence) using satellite remote sensing. For 10+ years, Danni has worked for the Country Fire Authority, as a remote sensing analyst, in the Research and Development team. Danni’s main area of work has been the development of the MapVictoria satellite curing model and the Victorian Improved Satellite Curing Algorithm, which have been used operationally by multiple states and territories in Australia, and have fed into the AFDRS for curing assessment.
