Leanne Kelly is a practitioner-scholar specialising in humanitarian action, community resilience, and evaluation within civil society and non-government organisations. Her work focuses on how community-based programs respond to crises, including environmental disasters, armed conflict, and violent extremism, with particular expertise in participatory and utilisation-focused evaluation. She has led over 100 program evaluations in Australia and internationally, serves as National Evaluation Advisor at Australian Red Cross, and holds a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Deakin University. Her research and practice emphasise culturally responsive, community-led approaches that translate evidence into practical tools for policy and program design.
